With the removal of restrictions from Monday 19th July 2021 we will be moving forward to establish a New Normal for how our facilities operate to ensure they can be enjoyed by all.

We have been able to take many learnings from the systems we rolled out to help us run our facilities over the last year or so and it has allowed us to try new things which we haven't had before.

Initially the following steps will be encouraged by all customers from Monday 19th July:
  • Please pre-book your activities, this ensures you know when we have space and you can access the equipment, activity or service as you would hope
  • Turn up on time, this means you can get the most from your session
  • Changing facilities including showers available to all facility users*
  • Please continue to clean as you go after using equipment
  • Wash or sanitise your hands at our points across our facilities
We will continue to review everything to do with our facilities and services, with customer experience being our priority in all of these to ensure we can all enjoy.
*Hair Dryers are not currently available due to update guidance we have received.

We encourage all customers to continue to pre-book their activities to ensure they guarantee a place in their activity, however from Monday 19th July we will also accept walk-in's where we have space to enable. Do be aware that no spaces are reserved for walk-in customers so we do strongly encourage pre-booking via the Active Northumberland app or website.

 

To register to use Active Northumberland facilities on a Pay as You Go basis please follw the instructions below:

1.  Navigate to or click the link https://www.fastdd.co.uk/platinum/start.php?c=ActiveNorthumberlandOnline

2. Choose the site you are most likely to use from the drop down, note that once registered you are able to use any site and don't need to register more than once

3. Please ensure you read our Terms and Conditions, if happy make sure you to tick the box to acknowlege your acceptance

4. Select "Not Applicable" for company name

5. Select Pay As You Go (PAYG) membership from the options which should appear below

6. Hit the next button

7. On the next screen you will be asked to enter your personal information

REMEMBER, supply a valid email address so we can send your login ID and PIN to book online. This should arrive with 1 hour of completing your registration, which will be the 2nd email after confirmation of completing registration

8. Review your details. Agree to DFC terms and Conditions. Click Next.

9. You will then recieve an email confirming your registration from DFC, this contains a reference number which you should keep for your records.

10. Within 1 hour of receiving your DFC email, you will receive a second email from us at Active Northumberland which contains your Member ID and Password. 

11. Download the Active Northumberland app or use the website to book your session

Please note that to access the new Ponteland Leisure Centre, non members / PAYG users will have to purchase a wristband on their first visit from reception to access the facilities.

Changing facilities are available for all users of the centre's now, however please be aware that due to the latest guidelines we have been advised that no Hair Dryers are to be available for customers.

We are currently reviewing our party offer at our centres and will release more details soon.

We will update our website as soon as available and also share information on our Facebook and Twitter.

We recommend the use of face coverings when moving around our facilities, removing just as you start your workout.

Learn to Swim lessons will continue in the summer, taking a 2 week break where no lessons will take place between Monday the 23rd August - Sunday 5th September. Lessons return after this break from Monday 6th September.

With the restriction of teaching in the water lifting from Monday the 19th of July our Swimming Instructors will have the choice of either continuing to teach from poolside or if they wish to enter the water and teach from in the pool.

Face masks will be optional when children are on poolside. 

All Learn2Swim participants will be able to shower pre & post swim if they choose to do so. Hair Dryers are not currently available due to updated guidance we have received.

Please note we will continue with the current cleaning regime.

We are working to open our other Tranquility Spa facilities and will update our website, contact customers and update our social media pages once available at:
