Another reason to love being Active! As a thank you for choosing to become a member with Active Northumberland, you will be automatically enrolled into our member loyalty scheme. This means you collect points for activities you enjoy in our centres.

These points can then be redeemed, or used as part payment, against future activities, experiences or refreshments.

Plus, all members receive 20% discount on purchases from our in-centre retail shops, so you can treat yourself to those swim and gym essentials. 

How to Join?

All our members are auto-enrolled in the scheme so there's nothing for you to do. You can track your balance via the app and start to redeem points against your bookings.

What activities will I earn loyalty points on? 
Members will earn 10 loyalty points for the following activities.

  • Gym sessions and all fitness classes
  • Lane swimming, swim for all sessions, fun for all and aqua splash
  • Badminton, table tennis and squash
  • Basketball and 5-a-side
  • Soft play, mini soft play and Clip n climb
  • Exercise on referral session and Momenta weight management sessions
*please be aware that points cannot be earnt or spent on bowling

How do I view the balance of my loyalty points? 
You can find out the balance of your loyalty points by asking our reception teams. It will also be on your receipt from any activities booked with reception.  
Plus, you’ll be able to see the monetary value of your points on the app. This total will be visible when you go to book and pay for activities. 

How are loyalty points allocated? 
10 points are allocated to members for each activity and session they book, and not-cancel/non-attend 

How do I spend my points? 
There are many ways to spend your loyalty points. You can pay for activities on the app using your loyalty points or use your wristband to pay for things in our centres.  
Don’t have a wristband or the app? Simply pop into see our reception team or call our customer contact centre and they’ll be happy to help. 

Will my loyalty points expire? 
All unused membership loyalty points will naturally expire on their anniversary of being earned. Loyalty points previously earned before 31st March 2022 and not redeemed by members before the 31st March 2022 will expire on 1st January 2023.  

  • Loyalty points can only be redeemed by the account holder taking part in the activity and cannot be substituted or gifted to another user 
  • 10 points are allocated to members for each activity and session they book, and attend 
  • Members can earn a maximum of 250 bonus points per year from 1st April to 31st March of the relevant year
  • Members can only earn a maximum of 25,000 points during their lifetime of membership. 
  • Loyalty points earned by members will automatically expire from their account and ID six months after they end their contract with Active Northumberland 
  • Loyalty points can only be earned by members of Active Northumberland 
  • Any existing points earned by existing members before 31st March 2022 will need to be used before 31st December 2022. Any points not used by that date will expire from your account.
  • ​Unused points expire 1 year (365 days) from the day they were earnt. For example 10 points earnt on 15th March 2022 would expire on 15th March 2023
