UPDATE - 26th November

We are delighted with the confirmation that we will be able to open some of our centres again next week. Our team are busy reviewing all of the guidelines and restrictions so that we can put in place a plan for our reopening.

We will be contacting all members tomorrow, Friday 27th November, with information of your memberships and next steps. We will also issue further updates around bookings which we hope to open tomorrow.

Thanks for your continued support, we are working as quickly as possible to get everything in place and ensure we can provide clear information to all of our customers before welcoming you back to our centres next week.

In the mean time, please continue to enjoy our free Home Workouts from our fitness team on the Active Northumberland Facebook page.

See you all soon,

Active Northumberland

In line with the latest Government announcement Active Northumberland will be closing all of our facilities from Thursday 5th November.

Direct Debits will be frozen for the month of November. This will include Swimming lessons and therefore you don’t need to take any further action.

We can only apologise if your Direct Debit has been paid this month. This has been taken in error by DFC who manage our Direct Debits on our behalf. We have worked with DFC to request refunds to any customers effected with the refund process to be completed at the latest Monday 23rd November.

If after the 23rd November you still believe you are due a refund, please  email us your name, address and date of birth to enquiries@activenorthumberland.org.uk.

We would advise not to cancel your Direct Debit instruction with your bank as you may incur charges.

We are hopeful that we will be able to reopen again in December once the restrictions are lifted. In the meantime though we wish to continue our message, #BeActive, which is why we wish to invite you to join our team as we deliver a number of live workouts on our Facebook and Youtube channels (just search for Active Northumberland).

Providing the lockdown is lifted on the 2nd December we will automatically collect your Direct Debit in December when our facilities re-open. In the meantime, if the guidelines change or the lockdown period is extended beyond December, we will communicate with all our members accordingly.

Those members who have continued to freeze their membership will remain frozen.

All members who have paid in advance for their membership will have their membership extended for one month beyond the current expiration date of your membership.

If you have paid for anything in advance - eg Clip 'n Climb, fitness classes etc, don't worry - we will automatically credit your online Active Northumberland account.

Please be aware, that as we have had to make the decision to utilise the government furlough scheme our contact centre team are unavailable until Monday 9th November, where they will be available Monday to Thursday 8am to 2pm to answer your calls and respond to comments and messages on social media.

We acknowledge that this lockdown will be of huge disappointment to everyone and that many of you will still wish to participate in exercise for the benefits it brings to both your physical and mental wellbeing. Despite our facilities being closed and a large majority of our team being placed back on the Government’s furlough scheme we believe it is important that we support our members with this.

Once again, we would like to thank all of our members for your continued support during these very difficult times and we look forward to welcoming you all back in our facilities on the 2nd December. Please check our Website and social channels for updated information, we will advise through these channels when we will endeavor to reopen.
