Easter activities to keep kids entertained

With the school holidays just around the corner,  Active Northumberland has lined up an action-packed programme of activities to keep young children entertained throughout the holidays - and many of them are free!

The  holiday programme provides a  fantastic way for children to keep active, develop new skills, have fun and make friends, all within  in a safe environment.

A wide selection of activities will be laid on  across the county including athletics, archery,  gymnastics, cycling, cricket, swimming, paddlesports, football, horse riding and much more.

Opportunities will be available for all ages - from tots to teens and there will also be a range of  activity camps run by fully qualified, experienced and enthusiastic coaches.

Ability2Play  will be offering an inclusive leisure programme aimed at young people and adults with learning and physical disabilities,  with activity sessions tailored to the individual needs of those taking part. Activities are on offer include bowling, laser battlefield, ice skating, horse riding,  art workshops, adventure camps and much more.

Look at the fantastic opportunities on offer and if you are able to,  please bring your children along to get involved.

While some of the  activities are ‘turn up sessions’ where you complete the registration form and  turn up and play, others must be booked in advance to secure your place.
