A family bootcamp is to be held at Ponteland Leisure Centre during the half-term holidays so that parents can get active with their children.
The event will take place on Wednesday 30th May starting at 10am and lasting for an hour. If it is successful the aim is to put on weekly bootcamp sessions over the summer holidays.
Exercises will be tailored to the fitness of the people who turn up and the age of the children but will include some group circuits training. However, the emphasis will be on having fun. If it is a fine day it is hoped the training will take place outside so bring sun cream and sun hats if needed.
Children should be between 6 -12 years of age and be accompanied by a parent or guardian. It is recommended there be no more than two children per adult.
The event will be free for members and children. Adult non-members will be charged £5.60
