Move it Community Dance, part of Get Active South East Sports Development team, had a fantastic event on Friday 25th November. It’s Move It Christmas Mania performance was held at Blyth Sports Centre for the second year running. Over 120 children, who are part of the 13 weekly classes, performed in front of an audience of 240, made up of families and friends. The show culminated with all dancers up on stage performing to a christmas hit and a disco held as a celebration of the group’s efforts over the previous year.
Jemma Halliday, Women and Girls Officer for Get Active South East, was delighted with the group’s efforts, “All of our dancers have worked exceptionally hard in recent months to put on a fantastic performance in front of their families and friends. It was also great for our dancers to watch each other, especially the younger dancers who were able to see some of our older groups perform”
‘Move It Community Dance’ continues to provide an engaging programme which welcomes anyone interested in dance. Ages range from two to 16 years old and take place across South East Northumberland, for further information please contact Jemma Halliday on 01670 622178 or JHalliday@activenorthumberland.org.uk.
