What is it?
To encourage youths to lead a healthy lifestyle, we offer an ‘introduction to fitness’ programme in the gym for children aged 14+ (Some of our sites do offer sessions for younger children, please check individually)
Why do it?
This instructor-led class involves games, exercise and fun with a chance to try out our range of fitness equipment. Our gym is usually 14+ and so this session is a great introduction for younger children to learn how to use the equipment in a safe way. Choose a centre below to book a Junior Gym session.
Who is it for?
This session is for children aged 9-14 years at Hirst Welfare Ashington. Our machines provide a variety of resistance and weight options so you can work to your ability and our instructors ensure you use the equipment correctly.
